The Colliers Arms is a warm and welcoming traditional village pub with excellent dining facilities. The Riverside Restaurant has French doors that open onto a balcony above the River Pelenna. It boasts an extensive menu and serves generous portions. The Colliers Arms is also renowned for its Sunday lunches.
The Colliers Arms is situated on the B4287 halfway between Neath and Port Talbot. Pontrhydyfen is well known as the birthplace of the actor Richard Burton, but nowadays it is lucky to be situated in the Afan Forest Park with its many walks and cycle tracks. Glyncorrwg Ponds are a magnet for fishermen and also for cyclists.
There are two other Country Parks in the area – Margam Park and Gnoll Park. There is also the bonus of a long sandy beach at Aberavon – just
15/20 minutes away. What could be better than a day in the open air followed by a delicious evening meal at The Colliers Arms – perfect!
